Tawainese premium smartphone maker HTC is planning to make a comeback into the Indian market, according to media reports. It had stopped operations in India last year.
It is expected to come to India with a flagship series launch.
PTI reported that HTC will be distributed by Inone Technology of Shenzhen (China).
HTC, once a major player in the Indian market, had shrunk its market share to less than one per cent in 2017. The last two phones launched by HTC were HTC U11 and HTC U11+. Both failed to sell well because of the high sticker price of Rs 51,990 and Rs 56,990 respectively.
