Bhubaneswar: A brace by Hugo Boumous scored a brace as FC Goa defeated Jamshedpur FC 5-1 to book a semifinal berth in the Super Cup at Kalinga Stadium on Thursday. The outfit will now face East Bengal for title clash.
For FC Goa, the goal was scored by Brandon Fernandes (34’), Ferran Corominas (69’), Manvir Singh, while Boumous scored in the 78th and 89thminute. For Jamshedpur FC, the only goal was scored by Ashim Biswas (90+2’).
The match was intense from the very beginning and the referee had to send off three players from each side.
While Subrata Paul, Haitian Kervens Belfort, Anas Edathodika were given a red card from Jamshedpur FC; Brandon Fernandes, Bruno Pinheiro and Sergio Marin from FC Goa were sent off the field.
