London: A self-proclaimed ‘human Barbie’ is absolutely obsessed with staying young forever. So much so that the 47-year-old Marcela Iglesias doesn’t have any qualms receiving blood transfusions from her 23-year-old son!
Marcela has already spent £80,000 on cosmetic procedures, opting for non-invasive injections.
Now, her mission for 2025 is to try something different. To ‘reverse’ ageing, she is planning to receive blood transfusion from her son Rodrigo. She believes that a young donor’s blood will revitalise her cells.
When Los Angeles resident Marcela shared her plan with Rodrigo, her son was enthusiastic about contributing to her wish. Not only will he donate blood to his mother, he is participating in a similar procedure with his 75-year-old grandmother, Graciela.
“Blood transfusion has become a modern method to rejuvenate cells, especially when the donor is your own child. Since I underwent stem cell therapy, I’ve been exploring ways to heal from the inside out,” Marcela told What’s The Jam.
“There are many potential benefits from a young donor’s cells, particularly when the donor is my son. I’m currently searching for a doctor in Los Angeles to perform this treatment. Rodrigo is fully aware of the procedure and its benefits. He is eager to help, even excited about assisting his grandmother,” Marcela added.
Blood transfusions deliver fresh red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body, while plasma provides proteins and clotting factors essential for healing.
“I’ve been told the body welcomes this boost much like a traveller relishes a sip of water after a long journey. Ultimately, I should feel stronger, more stable, and in better control of myself,” Marcela said.
The procedure potentially benefits internal organs, promote cell repair, reduce inflammation, and improve kidney, heart, and lung function.
