Mumbai: Sunita Ahuja’s cryptic remark about “humans” being “cheaters” has sparked fresh buzz amid ongoing speculation surrounding her husband Govinda and his rumoured relationship with Komal Rani Swarnkar.
The comment came a day after Govinda visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja with Komal, while Sunita sought blessings at the pandal separately earlier that day.
While interacting with the paparazzi at Mumbai airport on Wednesday, Sunita appeared to take a dig at Govinda’s visit to Lalbaugcha Raja with Komal.
Holding her pet dog in her arms, she was heard saying, “Insaano ko jitna bhi pyaar do faida nahi hai, dhoka hie dete hai. Inko (pets) pyaar karo hamesha chipke rehte hai. Winter mujhe hamesha chhodhne aata hai. Insaano se achche toh janwar hote hai (No matter how much love you give humans, it’s of no use; they betray you. Love them (pets), they always cling to you. My dog always comes to drop me. Animals are better than humans).”
She further added, “Janwaron se pyaar karo, insaano se nahi. Dhokebaaz hote hai insaan (Love animals, not humans. Humans are cheaters).”
Sunita’s comment quickly caught the attention of social media users, with several praising her response.
One fan called her “brave”.
Another wrote, “She’s a strong woman. Seeing her husband with another woman in every public appearance behaving like a couple ain’t easy. Putting up a strong face everytime is a task.”
Another commented, “She is right.”
Govinda and his co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar have been romantically linked following their appearances together on multiple occasions.
Sunita has previously addressed the rumours, calling Komal “young enough to be his daughter” and referring to Govinda as her “sugar daddy”.
Sunita had also claimed that Govinda and Komal were planning to marry, which she said led her to withdraw her divorce petition.
Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha, however, denied the claim and said there was no question of a second marriage.
Sunita recently made her reality TV debut with Lock Upp 2, but her stint on the show was cut short. She is now set to make her Bollywood acting debut alongside her son Yashvardhan Ahuja in ‘Hero Ki Horrorine’.
Directed by Sajid Khan and backed by Ektaa Kapoor, the film will see Sunita play Yashvardhan’s mother and is currently scheduled to release on January 7, 2027.
