Mumbai: Salman Khan’s recent shirtless appearance on ‘Bigg Boss 20’ has drawn a reaction from former contestant Sofia Hayat, who called the actor “hypocritical” while recalling his past comments about her body.
Salman had addressed trolls targeting his age, haircut and weight, but Sofia claimed his comments on body-shaming appeared contradictory in light of her own experience on the show.
Reposting a clip of Salman’s shirtless moment, Sofia wrote, “SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauhar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”
Sofia’s reaction came after Salman addressed the trolling he faces over his appearance during Weekend Ka Vaar.
During the episode, the actor spoke about the constant comments celebrities receive about their looks and physical appearance.
Salman has recently faced online criticism over his age and weight.
Addressing the comments, he removed his hat and shirt during the episode, appearing to respond to those who had been commenting on his appearance.
While several fans praised Salman for addressing the trolling directly, Sofia brought up her own ‘Bigg Boss’ experience and questioned his stance on body-shaming.

Moving beyond the trolling directed at him, Salman also discussed the body-shaming women can face following pregnancy.
He questioned why people comment on changes in a woman’s body after childbirth.
“Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant?” Salman questioned during the episode.
Pointing out that pregnancy naturally brings physical changes, Salman said women should be given time and space to recover and spend with their families instead of being subjected to constant public scrutiny.
“Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight. Jab woh picture mein wapas aa jayengi, woh fit aa jayengi,” he said.
The actor’s remarks came amid an ongoing social media discussion around Katrina Kaif’s recent appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganpati celebrations.
Katrina, who attended the festivities with husband Vicky Kaushal, faced comments about her post-pregnancy appearance after pictures and videos from the event circulated online.
Although Salman did not directly refer to Katrina, his comments on body-shaming came as the discussion surrounding the actress continued to gain attention on social media.
