Mumbai: Asim Riaz has hit back at television personalities Rubina Dilaik and Hina Khan following their comments about his presence on reality shows and his claim that he is a major TRP puller.
The actor-model stood by his assertion that he brings numbers to the reality shows he participates in, while taking a pointed swipe at those who have criticised him.
Asim took to his X account and, without directly naming either Rubina or Hina, shared a note that read, “I saw another clip from a podcast where these TV industry aunties and uncles were talking about how I bring TRP to every reality show I do. Well, the answer is YES, I DO. Good luck with your careers n keep playing your roles and being puppets in the industry.”

A few weeks ago, Rubina criticised Asim over his alleged behaviour on the sets of the reality show Battleground.
During a podcast appearance with Hina Khan on The4POV, Rubina discussed Asim’s attitude and questioned his claims about being responsible for the success of the reality shows he has participated in.
Referring to Asim as having “nuisance value”, Rubina said, “He claimed that he was the TRP on the shows, for him Bigg Boss became such a hit, and Khatron Ke Khiladi became hyped. Because of him, Battleground was this… really? Jis thaali mein khata hain uss thaali mein thukta hain (He spits in the same plate from which he eats). Woh itni badtameezi se creatives se baat karta tha mujhe genuinely bohot bura lagta hai (The horrible way in which he used to speak to creatives, it really hurt me).”
She added, “The show on which I am working, I will always respect the team that makes it work in the first place. They are my family. How can anyone question them and abuse them so many times? Everyone used to make him understand… unfortunately, a reality show, and where is he today?”
Hina agreed with Rubina’s remarks.
Meanwhile, Asim has also been in the news over the past few weeks following his public fallout with his former girlfriend Himanshi Khurana.
After firmly denying allegations that he had pressured Himanshi to change her religion, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant claimed that she had wanted to give their relationship another chance and said that he had proof to support his statement.
Himanshi subsequently responded, stating that she too had “a lot of proof” and would not remain silent if Asim continued to make statements that, according to her, tarnished her image.
Asim and Himanshi announced their separation on December 6, 2023, after nearly four years together.
Himanshi later revealed that their differing religious beliefs were a key factor in their decision to part ways.
Asim also maintained that the two had mutually decided to prioritise their respective faiths over their relationship.
