Mumbai: The war of words between actor-politician Kangana Ranaut and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has taken another sharp turn.
Reacting to Kangana’s latest criticism, Das claimed she has been “after his life” and jokingly suggested it might be because he “looks like a young Hrithik Roshan.”
In an interview with journalist Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Das said, “One of my friends said maybe she is after my life because I look a little like young Hrithik Roshan.”
Saurav maintained that he has no personal issue with Kangana and requested her to address differences through conversation rather than personal criticism. “The problem in this country is that people don’t talk anymore. There is less discussion, less debate. We should speak to each other with maryada,” he said.
Saurav’s remark appeared to be a veiled reference to Kangana’s long-running public dispute with Hrithik.
The two were embroiled in one of Bollywood’s most high-profile controversies in 2016 after Kangana referred to Hrithik as her “silly ex” during an interview. Hrithik, however, rejected Kangana’s claims of a relationship, sparking a public war of words and allegations involving exchanged emails. The dispute dominated headlines for months.
Saurav further hit out at Kangana over her comments targeting Gen Z, urging her to exercise greater restraint in her choice of words.
“I would just say, be careful of your words. Don’t sound frustrated. It doesn’t sound like the words of a person who is mentally stable. Think before speaking about the future generation of this country. Ultimately, people cannot be disrespected in this manner,” he said.
When asked if he would meet Kangana if she invited him for coffee, he said, “We harbour no ill will against anybody, including BJP MPs and people in the government. We have always believed in dialogue.”

The latest exchange follows Kangana’s sharp Instagram post earlier this week targeting Saurav.
In the post, she mocked him for identifying himself as a student at the age of 28, labelled him “useless” and “unemployed,” and claimed that she had already won two National Awards by that stage in her life.
“I googled this person and he is 28 years old. How he claims to be a student I have no clue! Yes I am in politics for past 2 years but I have been in public life for the last 20 years. At his age, I had 2 National Awards,” she said.
She added, “Yes as a new Parlamentarian I was overwhelmed with all the work because I am also a filmmaker + performing artist + producer + screen writer + entrepreneur. But someone like him who is totally useless and unemployed will never understand what it means to be in massive demand in all times at any age. Dear Saurav your issues are personal. You are not a student you are simply useless. Let’s start with learning some skill. It’s a good place to start.”
Reacting to these remarks, Saurav took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Yo Kangana, take a chill pill and lets talk this out.”
A day earlier, speaking about Kangana during an interview with ANI, Saurav had said, “Even members of her own party don’t pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we? I don’t think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha, or any younger generation takes her seriously or listens to what she says. She is a politician now. There were videos from when she visited her constituency in Himachal Pradesh, where she remarked that she had expected the job to require very little work, only to realise that being a Member of Parliament involves a massive amount of labour. That speaks volumes about her own seriousness. Gen Z has done more for this country than her.”
CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka also criticised Kangana, saying, “You’ve called us cockroaches, you’ve called us gutter; remember, these cockroaches crawled out of the gutter and forced one of your ministers to resign.”
