Mumbai: Amid reports of her alleged break up with beau Veer Pahariya, actress Tara Sutaria’s old interview about her would be life-partner has resurfaced on social media platforms.
During her appearance on The Ranveer Show podcast in the past, Tara had shared that she wants to marry someone who has self-awareness and high self-worth.
When asked if she is open to marrying a foreigner, the actress shared, “I don’t think so because I am very desi actually, and I need all this like desipana (nativeness). There’s a certain chilled-out thing that we have, whether it’s food-related or family-related; there’s a certain way of being here. I enjoy that, so I would want that. I need simplicity, and I need comfort.”
“I need the person to know who they are. If you know who you are, everything else falls into place, I feel. Self-awareness, self-worth to a certain extent, and having a sense of self as well are very important,” she added.
“Knowing who you are in essence and knowing your beliefs, what you stand for, what you don’t stand for, what you will never stand for, and what you could possibly change to stand for—all of these things are so important,” she said.
After her break up with Aadar Jain, Tara reportedly started dating Veer in 2025. In March last year, the duo made a joint appearance as showstoppers at a fashion show, thereby fuelling dating speculation. The couple went public with their relationship during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
However, according to a Filmfare report, the couple has parted ways following the AP Dhillon concert controversy.
For the unversed, Tara became a target of trolls after her on stage moment with Dhillon during his concert in Mumbai apparently made her beau Veer ‘uncomfortable.’
