Mumbai: Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor are gearing up for Karan Johar’s Nadaaniyan!
On Saturday, Netflix officially unveiled the upcoming film, which will serve as the big Bollywood debut of Ibrahim, the son of Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife Amrita Singh.
The movie will be directly released on Netflix and will also mark the debut of Shauna Gautam as a director. Previously, she worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
A press release from Netflix describes Nadaaniyan as a love story. “There’s nothing quite like the exhilaration and unforgettable experience of falling in love for the first time. Netflix is excited to announce Nadaaniyan, a young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness and innocence of first love. At its heart are Piya, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida. As their two completely different worlds collide, they embark on a journey filled with mischief, heart, and the sweet messiness of first love.”
On its social media post on Instagram, Netflix wrote, “Every love story, has thodi si nadaani,” and also added, “Hard launching Ibrahim Ali Khan and Kushi Kapoor on the main.”

Nadaaniyan also features Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj in key roles. The film is backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the Dharmatic Entertainment banner. Mahima Chaudhary made her comeback in 2025 to the industry after five years with Emergency and now Nadaaniyan.
Sara Ali Khan also took to her Instagram stories to pen a short yet sweet message for her ‘darling brother’ Ibrahim Ali Khan as he is all set to foray into Bollywood. Sharing the poster of Nadaaniyaan which was released today, she wrote, “Time to shine Oh my darling brother of mine.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor cheered for her sister Khushi Kapoor. Sharing the poster of the film, she wrote, “I can’t wait for this one!!!! Popcorn high school romance after soooo long!!! Young hot fresh spicy.”
Ananya Panday expressed her excitement to see Khushi and ‘Iggy’ in the film, while also rooting for director Shauna Gautam. “The bestest girl has to make the cutest movie right ??? so excited for you, Can’t wait to see you two, Khushi and Iggy.”
