Paris: Following a bomb threat, several hundred people were evacuated from the Eiffel Tower while the surrounding area was cordoned off on Wednesday.
Paris police received an anonymous call informing that a bomb had been placed under the 131-year-old iconic monument. Searches were being carried out, news agencies have reported.
