Bhubaneswar: Cold wave is likely to return to Odisha with the fall in night temperature from February 11.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its evening bulletin on Tuesday, said minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during next 2 days, but it is likely to gradual fall by 3 to 4 degree across the state from February 11.
The Met office has forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj from Wednesday.
Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and at one or two places in the rest of North Odisha, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Khurda and Puri districts on February 10 and 11.
Following the rainfall, the night temperature is likely to drop by 3-4 degree Celsius and cold wave to prevail in the districts from February 11, the IMD said in the bulletin.
