Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to lash at least 12 districts of Odisha by 12 noon on Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD0) said in a nowcast warning.
Orange warning has also been sounded for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities.
In a message issued at 9.50 am, the IMD sounded an orange warning Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Nuapada, Balangir, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Angul, Bargarh and Sundargarh.
Moderate rain or thundershower and lightning may occur in these districts within next two hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather conditions and be ready to move to safer places accordingly to be safe from lightning strikes.
