Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for three districts of Odisha till 4.18 pm on Monday.
Moderate thunderstorms/lightning with surface wind speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph may affect a few places in Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Nayagarh during this period.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
Notably, the weather agency has forecast light/moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds speed reaching 40-50 kmph at most/many places in Odisha from June 23-27. Isolated heavy rainfall may also occur in the state on June 24-25.
