Bhubaneswar: Odisha boys revelled in the support from home fans to script history in the 39th National Junior Boys’ Handball Championship, which was held at Keonjhar.
For the first time, Odisha finished third to bag bronze in the junior nationals.

Odisha went down fighting (31-36) to eventual champions Uttar Pradesh in the semifinal, shared third place with Haryana who lost 23-27 to Rajasthan in the other last-four clash.
In the final, Uttar Pradesh squeezed out a nail-biting 31-30 win over Rajasthan to lift the trophy on Saturday.
