New Delhi: India continued to tighten the screws on Pakistan through various measures post the Pahalgam attack in which terrorists based across the border shot dead 26 innocent civilians on April 22.
On a day of fast-paced developments, India suspended all categories of mail and parcel exchange with Pakistan via air and surface routes with immediate effect.
“Government of India has decided to suspend the exchange of all categories of inbound mail and parcels from Pakistan through air and surface routes,” Union Minister for Communication Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Saturday.
This follows the Central government’s decision to ban direct or indirect import of goods from Pakistan. Also, Pakistani ships have been barred from accessing Indian ports.
All these are part of a series of retaliatory measures India have taken against Pakistan, as it believes terrorists from across the border are continuously targeting India, with Pahalgam massacre being their latest attempt to disturb the country.
