New Delhi: As tensions remain high between India and Pakistan after the neighbouring country launched drone and missile strikes in parts of northern India on Thursday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to brief him on the evolving security situation, reports claimed.
Reports quoting sources claimed Doval provided a detailed update on cross-border developments and India’s defensive preparedness. This comes amid reports of continued Pakistani shelling and drone activity near sensitive regions.
Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh also reportedly informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about attack by Pakistan, sources told News18. While several northern Indian cities went into complete blackout on Thursday evening, India said it foiled Pakistan military’s attempts to target military installations in 15 cities in the northern and western parts of the country using missiles and drones.
