New Delhi: India’s tally of coronavirus cases crossed 2.16 lakh after a record number of 9,304 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.
According to the ministry, the total cases in the country stood at 216,919, including 6,075 deaths.
As many as 104,107 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far, taking the country’s recovery rate to 47.99 per cent.
India is currently the seventh among the 10 worst-affected nations.
Globally, 6,430,800 people have been infected with the virus.
