India-SA T20I: You Won’t Be Allowed To Enter Barabati Without Mask
Cuttack: Going to Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12 to watch the India-SA T20 International? Don’t forget to wear mask. Without mask, you won’t be allowed inside the stadium.
The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) authorities said ‘No mask, no entry’ rule will be followed during the match at Barabati Stadium on Sunday.
CMC Commissioner Ananya Das said that the T20I match tickets clearly mention that masks are mandatory and that all spectators have to wear them.
“The mask advisory continues to remain in force across the state. While there is no cause for panic, people must continue to wear masks in big gatherings,” Niranjan Mishra, director of public health, said.
Odisha reported 20 COVID-19 cases on Friday — but on Thursday, COVID cases in the state more than doubled, climbing to 31 from 15 on Wednesday, rising sharply after at least 13 inmates of a boys hostel at a private educational institution in Cuttack tested positive.
The institute falls under ward No. 59 of the CMC.
Fifty-six hostel inmates of the institute had undergone Rapid Antigen Test after showing COVID-19 symptoms. Of them, 13 samples tested positive.
