The Indian Coast Guard issued a job advertisement on Saturday for recruitment of 260 ‘Naviks’ (general duty). The registration window will open from January 26.
Educational qualification:
Plus-Two with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised board with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks.
Age:
Minimum 18 and a maximum of 22 years.
Pay and perks:
The candidate will be placed in basic pay of Rs 21,700, plus DA and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting.

How to apply?
- Applications will be accepted online only from January 26 to February 2. Candidates have to log in to www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in and click on the ‘opportunities’ button.
- Click on the ‘I agree’ button and the online application will be displayed.
- On successful submission of the online application, a unique application registration number will be provided which the candidate has to note down for future reference.
- A candidate can choose only one centre from the list mentioned in the job advertisement against the state to which they belong.
Selection procedure:
- The online application will be sorted out centre wise.
- Shortlisting of the candidates will be based on the higher percentage of marks for the particular centre.
- The shortlisted candidates will have to sit for a written test, comprising objective type questions. Those who qualify the written test will have to undergo a physical fitness test.
