New Delhi: In a joint operation with the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on Sunday arrested an employee of the Indian Embassy in Moscow for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
As per reports, the arrested individual, identified as Satendra Siwal, was working as a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in the Ministry of External Affairs. He was arrested in Meerut.

Satyendra was posted at the Indian Embassy in Moscow. He is originally a resident of Hapur and was arrested from Meerut.
According to the press note by UP ATS, the detainee is accused of giving sensitive and classified information about the Indian Embassy, Defense Ministry, External Affairs Ministry, and Indian military establishments to the ISI handlers.
Following a tip-off, UP ATS questioned Siwal, who first provided unsatisfactory responses. Later, he confessed that he used to bribe Indian government officials to obtain knowledge about the Indian Army.
