India’s First Sologamy: Kshama Bandhu Marries Two Days Ahead Of Date To Avoid Moral Policing
New Delhi: She stole the show from under everyone’s nose and took vows to live with herself happily ever after. Gujarat’s Kshama Bindu, who married herself in India’s first ‘sologamy’ on June 8, shared pictures from her wedding and other ceremonies on Instagram.
Vadodara-based Kshama, 24, had set June 11 as her wedding date but held the wedding two days before the scheduled date to avoid any controversy after a BJP leader opposed it and said she wouldn’t be allowed to marry in a temple.
The wedding had all the trappings of a normal one, complete with Haldi and mehndi. Kshama shared several pictures from the ceremonies.

“Khudpe haldi lagi to sawar gai mai, khudse ek rishte me kal bandh gai mai,” Kshama said in the caption of her post.
“Mehndi rach gai, mai is rang me utar gai,” is what she captioned her mehendi post.
For her wedding, Kshama was resplendent in red. “Khudse mohabbat me pad gai, kal mai apni hi dulhan bangai,” she said in her post.
