New York: It’s been 31 days since US-Israeli strikes on Tehran killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, triggering a conflict in West Asia that has been hurting the rest of the world as well.
And the American people don’t seem to be liking the war, if Donald Trump’s approval rating is considered a yardstick.
The US President’s net approval rating has nosedived to minus 17, according to an analysis by AF Post.
This not only marks the lowest point of Trump’s second term in the White House, it’s the weakest rating recorded for any American president at a similar stage in office.
In an analysis presented in a video on X, the anchor said while Trump had remained in negative territory for most of his first term (2017-2021) after winning the election in November 2016, his second term (2025-2029) as US President began with positive approval ratings before declining sharply.
The anchor added that he looked at all of the Presidents, and “Donald Trump is the lowest ever, the lowest ever at this point in a presidency, lower than Joe Biden, lower than Jimmy Carter, lower than Ronald Reagan… lower than all of them at this point in a presidency.”
Trump’s net approval rating has fallen to -17, making him the most unpopular president in US history.
