Mumbai: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is reportedly charging between Rs 35 and Rs 40 crore for his appearance in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal 5’.
Akshay will be shooting for around 18 to 22 days for the film, and his remuneration is said to be higher than that of the film’s lead actor Ajay Devgn.
“Akshay Kumar is shooting for 18-22 days, and he is getting around 35-40 crs, which is more than Ajay Devgn’s upfront fees because he is on a profit-sharing basis,” a source was quoted as saying by IANS.
Rohit officially announced ‘Golmaal 5’ in March, on his 52nd birthday, and it was during the celebrations that reports about Akshay being part of the film came as a surprise.
In behind-the-scenes glimpses shared by Rohit from the sets, Akshay’s bald look from the film was also revealed.
On April 27, Ajay announced the beginning of the film’s new shooting schedule and also posted a fun video montage from Ooty featuring co-stars Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu.
