Mumbai: After breaking up with Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma is rumoured to be dating ‘Dangal’ actress Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Dating rumours started doing the rounds after shutterbugs spotted the duo sharing a hearty laugh and hugging each other outside a café in Mumbai.
Soon, videos and pictures of their ‘date’ at the café went viral, sparking speculation about their relationship.
However, at the trailer launch of R Madhavan-starrer ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, Fatima rubbished those rumours and said that she is single.
Talking about an ideal relationship, Fatima said, “The one where two people respect each other, listen to each other’s thoughts and opinions. Both will have to make equal compromises. When you are in partnership you work towards the relationship without losing yourself. I think that is the way to a successful relationship.”
Asked if she has found her ideal man, she replied, “Acche ladke hai hi nai yaar.. Koi bhi nahi hai (meri life mein) Filmon mein acche hote hai. (There are no good men out there. Good men are only found in movies.)”
Vijay was in a relationship with actress Tamannaah after the duo fell for each other while working on Sujoy’s Ghosh’s ‘Lust Stories 2’.
However, when fans were eagerly looking forward to their wedding, reports suggested that the couple parted ways in March this year.
“Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma parted ways weeks ago as a couple but they plan to remain good friends. Both have been working hard in their respective schedules,” the source said.
On the work front, Vijay and Fatima will be sharing screen space in the upcoming film ‘Gustaakh Ishq.’
Directed by Vibhu Puri, the film also features Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.
