Itishree Pradhan Murder Convict Dies In Odisha’s Koraput

Jeypore: Convict Netrananda Dandasena, who was serving a life term for the sensational murder case of Tikiri Project Upper Primary School teacher Itishree Pradhan, died at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput on Monday.

Itishree, who used to work as a non-formal teacher in Tikiri Project UP School in Rayagada district, was set on fire on October 27, 2013. After battling for life at Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and the Seven Hills Hospital in Visakhapatnam for six days, she eventually died on November 1, 2013.

Following her death, it was alleged that she had been killed by the school SI Netrananda Dandasena over past enmity.

Later, Rayagada district session’s judge and special sessions court had awarded life term to Netrananda.
