Jabalpur-Hyderabad Flight Diverted To Nagpur After Bomb Threat

Nagpur: A Hyderabad-bound flight that took off from Jabalpur was diverted to Nagpur due to a bomb threat on Sunday.

Private airlines IndiGO, which was operating Flight 6E 7308, confirmed the incident. All passengers were evacuated after the flight landed at Nagpur. The passengers were safe, the airlines said.

“Flight 6E 7308 operating from Jabalpur to Hyderabad was diverted to Nagpur due to a bomb threat. Upon landing, all passengers were disembarked and mandatory security checks were promptly initiated,” read an official statement from IndiGO.

Earlier on Friday night, a Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Kolkata airport minutes after take-off due to an engine failure.

Flight 6E573 from Kolkata to Bangalore, which became airborne at 10.36 pm on Friday, made an emergency landing at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport at 10.53 pm after failure of its left engine, a senior official told the Economic Times.

In June, a Chennai-Mumbai Indigo flight had made an emergency landing in Mumbai owing to bomb Threat. This was the second time within a week when an IndiGo flight received a bomb threat. In May a flight by the same airlines did emergency evacuation.
