Mumbai: Veteran actress and BJP leader Jaya Prada on Wednesday slammed Jaya Bachchan for her statement on Bollywood drug nexus during Zero Hour in Parliament.
According to an ANI report, Jaya Prada backed Ravi Kishan and said that the youth should be protected from falling into the trap of drug cartel and that Jaya Bachchan’s statement seemed politicized.
“I completely support Ravi Kishan ji’s remarks about saving youth from the problem of drug trafficking/addiction. We need to raise our voice against the use of drugs & we need to save our youth. I think Jaya Bachchan ji is doing politics over the issue,” Jaya Prada was quoted as saying by ANI.

The veteran actress further said that being from a renowned Bollywood family, Jaya Bachchan should be lending her support in clearing the drug menace in Bollywood instead of taking things personally.
On Tuesday, Jaya came out in support of Bollywood and said that because of a few problematic people, the name of the entire industry should not be tarnished.
