Bhubaneswar: Goutam Das of Odisha is the state topper in JEE Main February session with 99.99 percentile. The results were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday.
Goutam notched the top spot in Odisha with an NTA score of 99.9990357 in Paper-I in the examination conducted for B.E./B.Tech.
He is a student of Bhubaneswar-based SAI International School.
SAI offers the secondary and senior secondary programmes of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It is also affiliated with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK, to offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program from grade VIII through grade X.
A total number of 6.52 lakh candidates had registered for Paper 1 in the examination and six candidates have received 100 NTA Score. The 100 percentile students are from Rajasthan, Delhi NCT (2 students), Chandigarh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Union Education Minister Dr RP Nishank congratulated the achievers as well as the officials and staff involved in conducting the examination process.

The examination was conducted in 331 Cities including 9 cities outside India in Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, and Kuwait] in 828 centres.
A total number of 742 Observers, 261 City-Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 06 Special Coordinators & 02 National Coordinators were deployed at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
