Mumbai: Indian women’s cricket batting sensation Jemimah Rodrigues is shifting base to Navi Mumbai, according to reports. She will maintain contacts with Bandra though, where she grew up and played gully cricket before making it big.

It was Jemimah’s brilliant performance in the semi finals against New Zealand that paved the way for India’s victory in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup. Apart from doing well with the bat, Jemimah performed exceptionally well on the field, holding on to difficult catches and scoring direct hits to the stumps.

Reports say that Jemimah has invested in property in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This marks a symbolic and practical shift in her journey as a professional cricketer.

Vashi is one of Navi Mumbai’s most well-planned and peaceful neighbourhoods. While the exact address remains undisclosed for security reasons, sources close to the cricketer confirmed that the move was a carefully thought-out decision.

The new address will not only be a home for Jemimah, but a strategic base, designed to enhance her cricketing routine. Vashi offers better proximity to high-quality sports complexes, practice nets, and training centres compared to her former locality in Mumbai. Vashi has less traffic, cleaner surroundings, and easier connectivity to key venues. It will give her the focus and convenience needed to stay at the top of her game.

Jemimah wanted a space where she could maintain a strict training schedule, recover between tours, and balance her growing commitments with peace and privacy, magicbricks.com has said. Her new residence reportedly includes a dedicated fitness area and space for practice drills, reflecting her deep commitment to cricket excellence.

This also marks a professional transition -shifting from her childhood home in Bandra to Navi Mumbai demonstrates her readiness to take charge of her evolving career. Jemimah is just 24 and has years of cricket to look forward to.

Jemimah’s connect with Bandra will remain strong though. This “Queen of the Suburbs” has been her family home for years. She will have sentiments attached to Bandra, where she dreamt of donning the Indian jersey.

Jemimah and her teammates have become household names overnight, thanks to their performance. She will continue to inspire a generation of young cricketers with her passion, discipline, and ambition. The new home in Navi Mumbai isn’t just a luxury purchase, it will teach youngsters to dream big.
