Rourkela: A jilted lover on Sunday attacked a girl with a knife near
Bisra road in Rourkela of Sundargarh district.
The girl was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition. She
received 17 stitches as she sustained deep injuries all over her body.

The youth had been angry at the girl for turning down his love
proposal and in revenge, attacked her brutally while she was returning
home from somewhere.
The police have arrested the accused on the basis of the statement
given by the victim. Further investigation into the case is ongoing,
reports said.
