Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) work in the field of health, community development and women development has been acknowledged by the Bengal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I).
The award recognised Jindal Steel’s flagship CSR initiative ‘Kishori Express’ for outstanding efforts in holistic development of healthcare for adolescent girls.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Kolkata on December 19 by former India government Secretary and former Director General & CEO of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, Chairperson of National CSR & Corporate Governance Committee, BCC&I and President Legal & Corporate Affair Jitendra Kumar and Infinity Group Chairman Dr Ravindra Chamaria.
Jindal Steel, through its social arm Jindal Foundation, has transformed millions of lives across Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
