Jobs Of Over 8,000 Govt Junior Teachers In Odisha Regularised From Today
Bhubaneswar: Fulfilling the demand of contractual junior teachers, the state government on Saturday announced that their jobs have been regularised.
Speaking to meida persons, here, School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash said the government has regularised the jobs of 8,102 contractual junior teachers from January 1, 2022.
He further said the decision is meant for the junior teachers, who have been working on contract basis in government schools since 2015. The official notification regarding the decision will be issued later in the day, he added.
Besides, 40,052 teachers of government primary school have been given promotions after relaxation in age limit, the minister said.
It may be mentioned that the junior teachers have been demanding regularisation of their jobs and staging demonstration to press their demand. They were appointed on contract basis in 2015 following due process. They alleged that the government had not regularised their jobs as announced in the advertisement for their recruitment.
