Puri: National president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday formally inaugurated a three-day training programme for party MLAs and MPs in Odisha’s Puri.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal and most of the party MPs and MLAs attended the programme.
The event, which began on Friday evening, will continue till April 13. The participants of the training camp are being imparted skills on organisational functioning, governance, ideological clarity, and goal-oriented execution.
A senior BJP leader said that the training camp will ensure that the participants get knowledge of the promises to the people by the party before the elections. The members will be told to make the people in rural areas aware of the achievements of both the Central and state governments.
Nadda, who is also the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, underlined the need to strengthen the party’s leadership by enhancing knowledge of organisational functioning, governance skills, ideological clarity, and goal-oriented execution.
The training session is seen as a strategic effort to align the party’s elected representatives with its core vision, ahead of key political developments in the state.
Nadda, who began his two-day Odisha visit on Friday, launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state, an event of major political and public significance. Around 3.5 crore people in the state are expected to benefit from the scheme.
