New Delhi: JSW Steel bagged the fourth iron ore block in Odisha mines auction on Thursday by committing to pay 110 per cent of the sale to the state government for Jajang in Keonjhar district.
It emerged winner among the final bidders, Serajuddin & Co, Lal Traders, Rungta Mines, Eastern Mining, JSPL, Adani, for the iron ore reserve of 39.42 million tonnes.
The mining lease of the block was earlier with Rungta Mines.
The Sajjan Jindal company has already won three blocks – Nuagaon (January 31),Narayanposhi (February 2) and Ganua (February 5) – with total ore reserve of 1098.92 million tonnes.
With this, the bidding process for seven of the 19 enlisted mines has been completed.
