Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested a junior assistant in the office of Sub- Registrar, Ganjam’s Belaguntha, Srikanta Dakua, after unaccounted cash, totalling Rs 1.86 lakh, was recovered from him.
According to an official release, he was intercepted by a Vigilance team while driving back to his residential quarter at Buguda from his office. “Dakua could not account for the source of money satisfactorily. The money along with his vehicle has been seized,” it said.

The release further stated that he was arrested and forwarded to Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur. Further investigation is underway.
