‘Marks on cheeks, around nose, lips…my daughter was raped’

“Her body was found in the seminar hall of the Emergency building by fellow students, who then informed us. We are talking to doctors, nurses, and others who were on duty with her last night,” a senior police officer told PTI.
The body bore scratch marks on the cheeks, around her nose, lips, in between eyebrows, and on the neck, according to a report on the Hindustan Times. The father of the deceased student, according to media reports, alleged that his daughter was sexually assaulted.
“I am quite sure that my daughter was raped before she was murdered. The injury marks on her body are evident. She was found semi-naked. Efforts are on to hide the truth,” he told Hindustan Times.
