On Saturday, Srinivasan had criticised the BJD-led Odisha Government for allegedly trying to suppress the ‘Pari’ murder case by ordering an SIT investigation instead of engaging CBI probe. She also demanded the resignation of State Minister Arun Sahoo.

Case Not Court Monitored

The BJP general secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar informed mediapersons  on Saturday rubbished the claims of the state government that the SIT probe in Pari case is court-monitored.

She said that there is no standing order from Orissa High Court in this case and even the state government has given any details in this regard.

Moreover, the press release issued by the DG of Police that the case has also turned out to be false, she alleged. The BJP leader questioned as to what could be the compulsion behind the lies of the DGP and why is the Government trying to protect Babuli Nayak, a ganja trader as well as Minister Arun Sahoo?

She has also questioned the role of DGP, who issued a press release stating that the case is court-monitored while it is not so.
