Justice Satrughana Pujahari Appointed Chairman Of Odisha Rights Panel
Bhubaneswar: Justice Satrughana Pujahari, a former Judge of Orissa High Court, has been appointed as Chairman of Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC). Advocate Asim Amitabh Dash has been retained as its member.
Justice Satrughana will take charge from Justice Bijoy Krishna Patel, who had been holding the post since November 2020, a notification issued by Law Department informed on Thursday.
Justice Pujahari was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Orissa High Court in November 2013 and took oath as a permanent Judge in October 2014. He was posted as Judge of the Madras High Court in November 2017 and repatriated to Orissa High Court on November 19, 2018.
It is for the second time that Das has been named as a member of the rights panel.
