Kajol’s Co-Actor From Web Series ‘The Trial’ Found Dead In Mumbai Flat

Mumbai: Decomposed body of actor Noor Malabika Das, who appeared in Kajol-starrer Disney Plus Hotstar series ‘The Trial’, was recently recovered from her flat in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area.

The 37-year-old alleged died by suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her bedroom on June 6. People in the neighbourhood found foul smell coming from the house and informed police, which then took the body for postmortem, according to ANI.

An officer quoted by Mid-Day stated, “We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway.”

Her last rites were performed on June 9 with the assistance of the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, which handles the cremation of unclaimed bodies in the city.

A good friend of the actor, Aloknath Pathak, told the media that her family was living with her in Mumbai till last month. “The family returned to the village a week ago. She was living in this flat on rent,” he added.

Noor, who hailed from Assam, acted in a few films and web series, including ‘Siskiyaan’, ‘Walkaman’, ‘Teekhi Chatni’, ‘Jaghanya Upaya’, ‘Charamsukh’, ‘Dekhi Andekhi’, and ‘Backrod Hustale’.
