Mumbai: The Twitter account of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was permanently suspended after she posted tweets that violated the guidelines of the micro-blogging site.
In a series of tweets, the actress had made objectionable comments on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The actress had criticised Mamata for the alleged violence that took place in Bengal following the announcement of Assembly election results on Sunday (May 2), India Today reported.
Kangana had demanded “President’s rule in West Bengal” after Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the recent assembly elections in the state and there were reports of violence in Bengal.
The actress further said no violence was reported from Assam and Puducherry where BJP won, but “hundreds of murders and #Bengalisburning” after TMC won in Bengal.
She also commented on Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi in her tweets.
