Mumbai: After reports suggested that Ranbir Kapoor had taken a large space on lease, sparking rumours about RK Studios revival, Kareena Kapoor dismissed the claims, stating that the ‘Animal’ star is currently focused on his acting career.
“That’s just not true. It was even being discussed in our family group, and everyone was like, ‘This isnâ
t happening.â I feel people really want it to happen,â Kareena said.
âI feel like Ranbir is focused on acting. He loves acting. I think heâs the best actor in India we have today. So, his focus is on that. Itâs heartbreaking, but itâs not happening. Maybe Lolo and Ranbir should think about it because I donât think I can think like a director or a producer,â she was quoted as saying by Etimes.
Speaking about her upcoming project âDaayraâ, helmed by Meghna Gulzar, Kareena described it as a subject-driven film she is keenly looking forward to.
The iconic RK Studios was founded by Raj Kapoor in 1948 in Mumbai’s Chembur.
In May 2019, the Kapoor family sold the original RK Studios property to Godrej Properties for Rs 180 crore.
