Mumbai: After winning hearts with their cute chemistry in ‘Luka Chuppi’, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon are reportedly reuniting for a hard-hitting love story.
A source shared with Mid-Day that the film will be helmed by Laxman Utekar, and unlike ‘Luka Chuppi’, which was a light-hearted romcom, the upcoming film will be an intense love story.
“The story is currently being developed. It has the flavour of hinterland India that Laxman does so well, but this time he is exploring an intense subject, unlike Luka Chuppi that offered a light-hearted take on live-in relationships,” the source said.
Both Kartik and Kriti have their calendars blocked with other projects.
While Kartik is busy with ‘Naagzilla’ and ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, Kriti has given her dates for ‘Tere Ishk’ and ‘Don 3’.
“Dates will be the real problem. If everything falls into place, the film could go on floors early next year. A final call will be taken post-August once the script is locked,” the source added.
Earlier, Kriti had collaborated with Laxman for ‘Mimi’ and bagged a National Award for her performance.
