Cuttack: To promote peace and harmony, a cycle rally ‘Kataka to Kathamandu’ was flagged off from Barabati Stadium here on Thursday.
The rally was inaugurated by KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samant in presence of other dignitaries and students.
The eight-member cyclist team would cover a distance of 1,450 kilometres in 12 days with a message of ‘Friendship and Peace’. They would reach Kathmandu on October 9 via Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh.
The rally also aims to raise public awareness about cycling to remain healthy.
