Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who recently recovered from cancer, is learned to have shot action sequences for his upcoming movie ‘KGF 2’ without using any body double.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers of ‘KGF 2’ suggested using a body double for Sanjay to shoot the action sequences. However, the actor insisted on doing the stunts himself.
National award-winning director duo Anbu-Arivu directed the action sequence for Sanjay.
“The entire climax of the film is being shot on a large scale with plenty of action centered around a coal mine. Since Sanjay has just recovered from cancer, the producers had suggested that they get a body double for some of the scenes. But Sanjay insisted on doing all the stunts himself,” a source was quoted as saying.
“The team has upped the scale of action as compared to the original and it’s one of the USPs of the sequel,” the source added.
Sanjay will be playing lead antagonist Adheera in KGF 2.
