Bhubaneswar: More than 80 per cent of graduates of KIIT Deemed to be University have landed a job. With companies confirming their participation in the 2021 campus recruitment, the varsity authorities are hopeful that all students would get jobs by April this year.
The recruitment was done online. “The process began in May last year and the students appeared for the job interviews online as they did for their semester exams,” said the founder of the university, Achyuta Samanta.
The hard work during the COVID-19 lockdown to ensure that placement was on track has paid off, he added.
There were over 4000 job offers with more than 140 national and multinational companies taking part in online campus placement. Of 3200 students of Schools of Technology (SOT), 2500 have been placed.
The highest pay package offer so far has been Rs 30 lakh an annum. Some students have got offers of Rs 24 lakh to Rs 19 lakh, a report in the Times of India said.
