KISS To Provide Free Education To Abandoned Boys From Malkangiri
Bhubaneswar: Two hapless brothers, who had been abandoned by their parents, will get a shot at proper education after Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Foundation extended a helping hand.
The boys, from Telgabeda village under Jianga panchayat in Mathili block of Malkangiri district, were sold off by their parents. The elder brother was rescued by Anganwadi worker Jayanti Khara, who provided him shelter and care, while the younger sibling was rescued from Siraguda village where he was working as a goat tender.
KISS Foundation founder Dr Achyuta Samanta came to know about their plight from the media and decided to help them. They were assured of admission to KISS, where they would get free education.
KISS Foundation has also agreed to provide Rs 2000 per month to the two boys to meet their day-to-day expenses, on Samanta’s request.
