Kriti Sanon Roped In To Play Sita Opposite Prabhas In Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’

Mumbai: ‘Raabta’ actress Kriti Sanon has been roped in to play the role of Sita, opposite Prabhas, in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, a source revealed that the makers of ‘Adipurush’ had zeroed in on Kriti after taking into consideration several top-notch actresses from both Bollywood and Tollywood.

“After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity,” the source was quoted as saying.

While Prabhas will be playing Ram in the much talked-about epic drama, the role of Lankesh will be essayed by Saif Ali Khan.

Talking about the movie, Om told PTI: “It is the story of Prabhu Ram. It’s one aspect of the epic saga. It’s my screen adaptation of the epic.”

‘Adipurush’ will be shot in Hindi and Telugu, and will be released in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada also.

The film is slated for release on August 11, 2022.
