Mohali: Powered by KL Rahul’s batting, KXIP started their IPL campaign on a winning note after they defeated Delhi Daredevils by six wickets in Mohali on Wednesday.
Rahul smashed 51 in 16 balls which included six fours and four sixes to power his side to victory.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, who finished 2-28 in four over restricted Delhi Daredevils to 166 for 7.
“For years, I have been branded a Test cricketer. It’s good for me to be up there, creating history and breaking records. Hope to continue this way,” Rahul, who was adjudged the ‘Player of the Match’ said.
