Sambalpur: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed Dr Lalit Kumar Meher, Dean and Principal of Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir, as the Director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
The post had been lying vacant after Dr Aswini Kumar Pujahari, accused of undertaking unverified medical practices, stepped down on February 9, 2019.
