The outcomes of the test objectives is being studied and will be released later in the day, DRDO officials said.
The BrahMos missile test-fired today was fitted with increased indigenous equipment. It is a version used by the Indian Army, Economics Times said in a report quoting Defence sources.
The supersonic cruise missile was earlier tested in June this year. It was equipped with an upgraded guidance system and a Russian-designed seeker which gave the missile greater accuracy.
